Rank Group Appoints Sam Allanson as New CFO for Rank Interactive

The Rank Group Plc, a leading gaming and entertainment company, has announced the appointment of Sam Allanson as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Rank Interactive. 

Rank Interactive Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Appointments

Having joined Entain in 2017 following the merger between Ladbrokes and Coral, Allanson played a crucial role in delivering value-adding financial initiatives across the group. He later took on the position of Commercial Finance Director at Ladbrokes before the company’s acquisition by GVC. Prior to his tenure at Ladbrokes, Allanson held prominent finance positions at Sky plc.

Based in Gibraltar, Allanson will report directly to Richard Harris, the CFO of Rank Group. This appointment comes shortly after the announcement of Andrew Peat as the Managing Director for Rank Interactive, further strengthening the company’s leadership team. The Rank Group also recently appointed Jon Martin as Chief Operating Officer, promoting him from his role as Managing Director of Rank Interactive. 

Rank Interactive has been making significant strides in its digital business, with a notable 16% year-on-year increase in digital revenue to £52.5 million ($67.6 million) reported in the third quarter of the fiscal year, ending on 31 March. This growth has been attributed to strategic investments aimed at enhancing the customer experience, backed by a proprietary tech stack.
