Paysafe Group Puts Veteran Chirag Patel at Helm of Neteller and Skrill

Chirag Patel will now spearhead Neteller and Skrill digital wallets’ global growth as he replaces Lorenzo Pellegrino as chief executive.

Paysafe Group Brings Seasoned Payments Veteran Patel to Skrill & Neteller 

Paysafe Group has appointed Chirag Patel at the helm of the company’s digital wallet divisions. As a result, Patel will be responsible for Skrill and Neteller, the popular e-wallets that allow the quick transacting of money to and from online vendors and gaming websites. 

As a former payments officer at Amazon and Santander Bank, Patel brings a wealth of experience that will be put towards Paysafe Group’s growth in the digital wallet space. He is replacing the previous incumbent, Lorenzo Pellegrino, who has been bumped to a strategic advisor at Skrill Limited. 

Patel welcomed the appointment and said that he was excited to be becoming a part of the Paysafe Group. “I believe there is enormous potential to extend the offering to more and more customers given Skrill and Neteller’s worldwide presence, combined with Paysafe’s great technology and talented team,” Patel added. 

Skrill and Neteller are some of the most established payment methods used in numerous jurisdictions as some of the most trusted e-wallets to carry online payment transactions in and outside of the iGaming industry. 

Charting a Course for the Future of Digital Wallets 

Patel’s experience puts him in a position where he can leverage his knowledge freely and help the company to expand further. He was head of payments at Amazon for Europe and International Expansion, and he guided the company’s inroads into new markets. 

Paysafe CEO Philip McHugh welcomed the new hire and lauded him for his successful track record so far. He pointed out that Patel has successfully launched numerous consumer-facing and B2B payment products in the past.

The chief executive also thanked Pellegrino for the commitment he has shown to bring Paysafe Group’s digital wallet solutions to different parts of the world. 

As a result of Pellegrino’s tireless efforts, Paysafe has been able to offer two of the world’s best digital wallet products.
