IGT Launched DiamondRS Cabinet to Enhance Player Experience
Gambling and lottery solutions supplier International Game Technology (IGT) announced the launch of its new DiamondsRS mechanical reel cabinet to mark another significant moment in the mechanical reel segment.
Diamond Glass Technology Enhancement
The DiamondsRS mechanical reel cabinet leverages IGT’s extensive market research to provide a next-generation gaming experience by combining leading-edge technology with a traditional cabinet style. Among the first to feature the new cabinet is the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel in Highland, California.
“The launch of the DiamondRS cabinet continues IGT’s decades-long reign in the mechanical reel segment with classic DNA enhanced by the industry-first innovation of Diamond Glass technology.”
Nick Khin, Chief Operating Officer, Gaming, IGT
The new cabinet retains IGT’s popular design elements and iconic mechanical reel known from its S2000 slot machine that was widely used across casino gaming floors for decades and subsequently replaced by the S3000 cabinet.
“This groundbreaking evolution reflects IGT’s ingenuity and commitment to delivering premier gaming products that meet player preferences and provide dynamic performance.”
Nick Khin, Chief Operating Officer, Gaming, IGT
More Engaging Content
Retaining the familiar three-reel configuration powered by IGT’s Diamond Glass transmissive reel technology overlaying a transparent video over the mechanical reels, the DiamondRS cabinet is capable of hosting multiple pay line configurations and even more engaging gaming content.
To elevate player experience, the 32-inch ultra-high-definition LCD top box display and the 23-inch high-definition main monitor offering multi-touch capabilities are paired with an easy-to-read player panel and an ergonomic button deck that includes an inductive wireless phone charger and a USB charging port. Player wins activate the cabinet’s lighting to make win celebrations a vibrant focal point.
Kenji Hall, chief operating officer at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino, was honored that the casino resort is among the first casinos globally to introduce IGT’s new DiamondRS cabinet, outlining that the casino’s perpetual drive to provide innovative products and solutions was the key driver for its success.
Hall did not spare the superlatives towards IGT, saying that the tech supplier’s leadership role in the field weighed in the decision to partner with them, hoping that this partnership will provide a “best-in-class experience” for Yaamava’ casino’s customers.
The DiamondRS cabinet deployment is supported by an extensive library of game titles featuring IGT’s legacy themes, including a modern version of the popular slot Double Top Dollar, and new game titles, such as Pinball Double Gold, Red Hot Tamales! Pinata Bash, and others. Earlier in the month, IGT announced that its acquisition of iSoftBet is complete, enhancing the tech supplier’s position with the developer’s capabilities.
