Hard Rock Sacramento Owners Donate $1M to Sutter Medical Foundation
The Enterprise Rancheria Tribe in California continues to stand tall as a community leader, with the casino operator now allocating $1 million to help cancer patients and their families

The owners of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain, the Enterprise Rancheria Tribe in California, have donated $1 million to the Sutter Medical Foundation, which will use the funds to help cancer patients and their families with a number of needed treatment options, medicine, and equipment.
Supporting Local Communities Through Ongoing Initiatives
The donation will be used to help Yuba-Sutter County cancer patients, the operator said. The sum is not going to be donated right away as a lump sum, however, but rather over a five-year period with $200,000 per year. The funds have been raised as part of the Pinktober initiative, with the help of Enterprise Rancheria, but also its affiliate, the Enterprise Community Fund.
Commenting on this opportunity, Sutter North Medical Foundation president Dr Steven Dale Blair has welcomed the opportunity to see the donation and said that the foundation was excited to be teaming up with Enterprise Rancheria to help improve cancer care in the community.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento president Mark Birtha was similarly pleased with the opportunity to see the property once again contribute to the well-being of the local community, and added:
“As we celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain, we are most proud of the more than $3 million of charitable donations and in-kind gifts both the Tribe and the property have made to philanthropies throughout Northern California.”
Birtha said that he was pleased to see the new $1 million gift allocated to the Sutter Medical Foundation as the property continues to demonstrate its unflagging dedication to local communities.
Expanded Cancer Treatment and Care for Patients
The funds will help Sutter Health expand its healthcare in the Greater Yuba-Sutter area, including the opening of a new primary care clinic which is due to get underway in 2025.
Sutter Health’s Greater Sacramento Division president Rachael McKinney was similarly thankful for the opportunity to see this new relationship form up, and the good that will come out of it for local people.
“We are grateful to have philanthropic partners who recognize the possibilities to advance and expand our mission of exceptional care for residents,” McKinney added.
