Dan Spencer to Speak at the Sustainable Gambling Conference

EPIC Global Solutions has announced that its director of safer gambling, Dan Spencer, will be a keynote speaker at the upcoming Sustainable Gambling Conference 2024

According to EPIC Global Solutions, its director of safer gambling and also a Compliance Rising Star Awards winner at the 2023 VIXIO GamblingCompliance Global Regulatory Awards, Dan Spencer, will be attending the Sustainable Gambling Conference 2024.

The conference will take place on March 20 between 8:45 and 17:30 BST at the Kia Oval in London.

Spencer to Help Mitigate the Risk of Gambling Harm

The announcement does not come as a surprise, as, at the end of January, the globally leading independent consultancy with a focus on gambling harm minimization announced the participation of its director of safer gambling in two upcoming conferences, in February and March

The decision to increase Spencer’s presence at these important industry events came naturally following the high demand for his expertise regarding gambling-related harm as a result of his personal life experience.

EPIC Global Solutions then announced that Spencer would play the role of a panelist, moderator, as well as a breakout session leader during the respective events.

The main purpose behind the decision was to help explain to different audiences why it is mandatory to employ a prevention-based method that would help mitigate the risk of gambling harm.

Safer Gambling: A Look into the Future

The event scheduled to take place at the popular Test cricket venue that is also the home of Surrey County Cricket Club as part of Kindred’s Sustainable Gambling Conference will have the “Safer gambling: A look into the future” theme.

Spencer will join a number of reputable global speakers on the day of the event, each representing big international brands including KPMG, Rdentify, Gamban, TransUnion, and EGBA.

Each of the speakers will share their insight and experience into the way in which safer gambling is currently going through significant changes.

Spencer will take the opportunity to provide invaluable consultation and training to key players in the industry while leading one of the breakout sessions announced on that day, on the topic of “Duty of care: how to make it work for all stakeholders.”

The breakout session can be attended by anyone either virtually or in person by registering on a dedicated platform.

Spencer will be joined by EPIC’s safer gambling manager, Craig Cornforth, on a panel discussion that will showcase the lived experience of harm related to gambling.

Spencer, who is fully dedicated to “fostering a safer gambling environment globally” will not only bring his lived experience of gambling-related harm into the spotlight during the upcoming conference but also his robust background in matters of compliance and developmental training

His rich expertise has already reached 28 countries, where, together with his team, has received numerous industry awards for their commitment to protecting players
