Dallas Cowboys Conceding Way Too Many Points in 2024

With 26.0 points conceded per game, the Dallas Cowboys are the NFL’s 6^th-worst defense (shared place with the Cincinnati Bengals). Their defense did well against the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants, keeping the opposition to under 20 points each time. As a result, the Cowboys won those games.

In the two games they lost, their defending was abysmal. Against the New Orleans Saints, they conceded 44, while the Ravens scored 28 points against them.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ offense has been pretty consistent, with their worst performance being 19 points against New Orleans. QB Dak Prescott has been solid thus far, and so have his receivers, most notably, CeeDee Lamb.

Pittsburgh Steelers are Dreaming Big Dreams in 2024

The Dallas Cowboys are great offensively, but if there’s a defense that can stop these guys, it’s the one of the Pittsburgh Steelers. This team is second in the league in opponents’ points, with just 13.3 conceded per game.

They did, however, concede 27 points against the Indianapolis Colts last weekend. They lost that game by a field goal, which marked the end of their superb start to the 2024 NFL season. But that game was strange anyway. The Colts scored two quick touchdowns in the first quarter, after which, the Steelers took the initiative.

Quarterback Justin Fields was brilliant scoring two of the three Pittsburgh touchdowns on his own. The third was a receiving TD by tight end Pat Freiermuth on an assist by Fields. Unfortunately for them, that wasn’t enough to turn things around.

The loss to the Colts last weekend was a glitch and we’re certain that the Steelers will bounce back from it. Our prediction is that they’re going to handle the Cowboys with ease in Week 5. Not only do we think they will win, but we predict they will cover the spread as well.
