Brightstar to Power the Missouri Lottery for 8 More Years

Brightstar Lottery (formerly IGT Lottery) announced a new eight-year partnership with the Missouri Lottery. Under this agreement, the lottery solutions provider will empower the state lottery operator with its fully-integrated lottery solution, OMNIA.

Brighstar Will Help the Lottery Step Up Its Game

By injecting OMNIA into the Missouri Lottery, Brightstar will completely revolutionize lottery gaming for fans in the state. The solution will modernize both the retail and digital experiences by seamlessly connecting them, simplifying operations and delivering better player experiences.

The eight-year agreement will furthermore see Brightstar make changes to the lottery’s digital program, adding Connected Play, second-chance promotions and a new loyalty program.

That’s not all, however, as Brightstar has also committed to supply the Missouri Lottery with cutting-edge equipment, including:

  • 5,250 Retailer Pro S2s
  • 2,220 GameTouch™ 28s
  • 75 GameTouch™ 20s
  • 250 GameTouch™ Draws
  • 1,250 Digital Menu Boards
  • An enhanced communications network

According to Brightstar, these solutions will ensure improved player engagement. Providing enhanced versatility, reliability, convenience, high performance, and integrity, these products will be underpinned by Brightstar’s state-of-the-art central system.

Brightstar Will Help the Lottery Generate Money for Education

Lester Elder, executive director of the Missouri Lottery, was excited to extend his team’s existing agreement with Brightstar. Elder pointed out that the local lottery has relied on the supplier’s world-class tech for over three decades now, allowing it to generate $8.5 million for public education.

For context, Brightstar currently boasts partnerships with some 90 lottery clients across six continents. It is the main tech supplier to more than half of the lottery jurisdictions in the US and 7 of the top 10 lotteries globally.

Missouri Sports Betting Looms

In other news, the Show-Me State has taken additional steps toward the launch of its sports betting market. The license applications window just closed yesterday, with a hearing set to take place on August 13. The approved companies will be unveiled on August 15.

In the meantime, the public hearing that will review the feedback and address any concerns has been set for July 17.
