Reasons Why Max Verstappen is Favored to Win the 2024 Austian Grand Prix
Max Verstappen is the record holder for most wins at the Austrian GP with four. He won the event for the first time in 2018, while his most recent win at the Red Bull Ring happened last year.
Not only does he seem to love racing in Austria, but he’s also in top form right now. Verstappen is the one who won the previous two events on the 2024 F1 calendar. With seven wins so far, he’s sitting at the top of the Drivers’ Championship Standings with 2019.
He’ll stay there no matter what happens on June 30 as he’s got 69 points more than the second-placed Lando Norris.
Can Lando Norris Do Something on June 30?
Lando Norris has been brilliant over the last couple of months. His good form resulted in the McLaren driver moving to the second spot in the standings. In May, we saw him win his first-ever Formula 1 race. Since then, he finished second in three of four races.
In the previous race, he was beaten by Verstappen, but he did win the pole position, as well as record the fastest lap.
Charles Leclerc Hoping to Win the Austrian GP Once Again
Ferrari’s driver is currently third in the standings with 148 points. If he wins on June 30, he will leapfrog Norris to the second spot.
The reason why he has the right to feel good about his chances in Austria is that he’s already won this race once. It happened two years ago, while last year, he finished second, just behind Verstappen.
Another reason why the Ferrari driver should be optimistic is that he’s been very good this season. In fact, his worst finish was the No. 5 spot in the most recent race. He also had to retire from the race before, but that only means that he’s hungry for points.
2024 Austrian GP Prediction
Our prediction is that Max Verstappen is going to win the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix. Oddsmakers seem to agree with us, considering that they’re giving -200 odds for the Red Bull driver winning.
Pick: Max Verstappen
