Best RTP Casino Games
Casino games with a high Return to Player (RTP) rate are very common online and in land-based properties. While many games do not quite offer you the same potential return, distinct titles do.
To help you get the best possible experience playing games of chance, we have put together a list that carefully goes over all the high-paying games and why you may want to play them. More importantly, we explain why casinos offer such well-paying games in the first place!
The Titles That Will Pay You Well on Casino Floors
As it is, many games of chance offer a high return to players. While the house edge will always be a factor, you can still pick and choose games that are specifically designed to pay a little more overall, and with some luck, even walk away with a profit.
Since you are playing high RTP casino games, the question naturally is – can you consistently expect to beat the house? The answer is – a definitive no. Yes, there have been cases of this happening consistently.
For example, Bob Dance wrote his Million Dollar Baby gambling book, sharing his video poker exploits. Starting with $6,000, he went on to accumulate $1 million in wins defeating poker machines.
Video poker is often cited as a “beatable game,” but there is little evidence to suggest that this is the case – casinos do generate profit from the segment, and there are only a handful of gamblers to claim that they have made a living out of video poker.
Roulette is another interesting example. Extensive testing has shown that there is no way you can beat the game by simply relying on some mathematical strategy – the house edge always catches up to you.
However, one player described in a Bloomberg article and identified as Niko Tosa, supposedly went on to win millions from the game. His strategy was bizarre and highly suggestive of cheating. He would place call bets in the last possible moment, as if knowing where the ball would land.
Niko Tosa was never caught cheating – and he denied the allegations. His whereabouts today are unknown.
Finally, there is blackjack, a game that you can actually beat. However, this is determined by several factors. For starters, you may not beat the house by, say, counting cards online. The only way this works is by counting cards in retail casinos, giving yourself a fair chance of success, all things considered.
You can actually bring your card counting to physical casinos, but if you get caught, the properties will ask you to leave.
Are Slots Worth It If You Want High RTP?
Slots are indeed worthwhile when they offer a higher theoretical return, but there is a caveat – you cannot expect a slot to realistically fetch you a big prize. While it is true that higher return slots do exist, and they seem to dispense slightly more back to players, it is still a chance.
Another thing to note is that games such as roulette come with mitigating strategies – Fibonacci, Martingale, D’Alembert, and so on, while slots simply do not behave that way. You will simply have to place a bet and hope.
Slots do produce the occasional big-time winner, however. A lucky Resorts World’s guest managed to hit an incredible jackpot of over $11 million. The guest had only come to Las Vegas to visit some family in November 2025. However, his story is an exception to the rule, and not the rule itself.
Slots are usually designed with an RTP of 96%, and even the highest paying ones, which are few and between, will not give you more than 98%, except for a handful of titles that are not as popular.
High RTP Games, Where Is the Catch?
There is no catch. Mathematically, high RTP casino games make a lot of sense. It doesn’t matter if you play online or at a land-based casino. As long as there is even a small house edge, the house will continue to win consistently over the long run.
It is the house edge that helps casinos stay competitive, even when gamblers score big wins. If you are known to collect $0.30 on every $100, you will eventually make a profit – in fact, you will always be making a profit.
High RTP casinos serve as a draw. Why not try your luck at blackjack and video poker when the house edge is almost negligible? What about the slots? An average house edge of 4% cannot be that much, but as it turns out, it is enough to keep casinos in business. Just because you know this, you should not deject and stop gambling if you are having fun.
Besides, there is a real possibility that you can get lucky and beat the odds of winning big before walking away. Still, it’s good to know that casinos do not mind playing high RTP casino games as long as they have the house edge.
Players Beware: No Casino Game Is a Winner in the Long Run
Try as you may, the simple fact remains that no game will be a winner for you in the long run. Yes, there are documented cases across blackjack, video poker, and roulette, where players have seemingly made a living – or in some cases, won millions of dollars consistently.
However, these cases are outliers and not the rule of thumb. In some instances, the exact mode of winning is not known, even if the person was never caught cheating. What this means for you is that high RTP games do not guarantee long-term profitability. It’s important to take gambling with a grain of salt and focus on having fun instead.
