Stake Continues Expansion in Peru with New Country Manager

The cryptocurrency-focused betting pioneer has continued to grow in traditional gaming markets with a new appointment of a country manager for Peru

Looking to consolidate its local footprint, and shortly after debuting in Colombia, Stake is now moving in the Peruvian market. The company has added ex-Inkabet head Jennyfer Escobar to help steer operations, as the company has secured a license locally as well.

Peru Is the Next Grwoth Target for Stake.com

Escobar is a well-seasoned industry veteran and has similarly held positions with BoyleSports, bringing in vast and relevant experience as a country manager for Stake in the country.

However, the bulk of her career was spent with Inkabet which she joined in November 2015 and left in June 2022, according to her LinkedIn page.

Escobar has welcomed her appointment to be a part of Stake’s transformative journey locally and said that she was looking to prop up the operator’s efforts in the local Peruvian iGaming market. She added:

“The Peruvian market has significant growth potential, and we look forward to engaging even further with the region. I’m excited to continue contributing to the dynamic world of gaming in Peru and to drive innovation in this evolving industry.”

Stake.com has been expanding rapidly across the iGaming and sports betting market in Latin America, with the country making clear overtures towards the local market.

Apart from launching in Colombia through an ambitious local deal, the company has similarly negotiated entities in Mexico and Paraguay. Stake.com notably bought out Betfair’s operations in Colombia to gain a strong foothold in the market.

Stake has forked out $800,000 for a gambling license in Peru and is hardly the only company that has seen the value in expanding locally either. Betsson Group bought out Inkabet to consolidate its local footprint outright.

Stake Joins as Global Interest in Peru Soars

Meanwhile, a string of other companies has pursued growth locally by opting for a license, among which are Rush Street Interactive and EveryMatrix, both of which are willing to pursue further expansion in the Latin American region, with Peru an important stepping-stone in this growth story.

Stake has also been meaning to turn its brand into a global success story, pursuing rapid expansion in promising new markets.

Italy has been a particularly attractive opportunity for the company, even though locally things have got tougher, owing to a new and anticipated regulatory framework which is expected to be in force in 2025.
