Softweave to Introduce Winafar in the Canadian Market

Softweave will introduce Canada to its Winafar product, which allows players to play land-based slot machines from their mobile and computer devices in their homes. The technology first debuted in New Jersey’s HardRockCasino.com last year.
Slot Machines at Home with Winafar
Software developer Softweave will launch its Winafar product in the Canadian gambling market. The company expressed confidence that the new software will be very popular with casino operators across Canada. Softweave has partnered with Canadian distributor RBY Gaming to supply the market with its product.
Winafar will make it possible for operators to offer customers a unique way to play slot machines from the comfort of their own homes. The way the technology works is to allow players to operate physical slot machines through their own computers and mobile devices. Customers who choose to play with these machines from home can win real prizes just as if they were on location.
The product just has to be plugged in the slot cabinet, and it will automatically give a live feed to customers via a camera and microphone. Once a customer starts playing a slot machine via a dedicated website, they will feel like they are physically present in a land-based casino. All of the reels’ sounds and imagery are captured and projected to the player’s smartphones, tablets, and computers.
CEO of Softweave, Roy Greenbaum, told CasinoBeats: “We’re thrilled to be able to bring Winafar to local operators in Canada. Markets all around the world are starting to offer the ‘live casino experience’ but, while these markets largely focus on the traditional table games, Winafar gives players the extra excitement of playing slots right out there on the casino floor.”
Winafar’s Debut with HardRockCasino Dot Com
Last year Softweave partnered with HardRockCasino.com to introduce this device, officially making them the first casino in the world to have the technology. The devices are located in a private room at Hard Rock Atlantic City.
New Jersey players can see a range of real slot machines in the live slots area of HardRockCasino.com as if walking through HardRock Atlantic City.
This real-life experience means players can find and continue to return to their own lucky slot machine if the machine is not already in use by another player.
The introduction of Winafar in Canada acts as a stepping stone for Softweave’s expansion plans in North America’s market.
