Sightline Payments Hires Larry Whelan and Shannon Nadeau

Sightline Payments announced that it hired Shannon Nadeau to serve as the company’s director of regulatory and licensing compliance. The leading payments provider appointed Larry Whelan as director of risk.

Sightline Payments Expands Leadership Team

The leading sports betting and casino gaming digital payments provider, Sightline Payments, announced that it hired the services of Shannon Nadeau and Larry Whelan. The duo brings decades of industry experience from leading gaming operators and institutions such as Wynn Resorts, MGM Resorts International, Penn National Gaming and the Nevada Gaming Control Board. In her new position, Nadeau will serve as Sightline’s director of regulatory and licensing compliance. On the other hand, Whelan will take the position of director of risk.

Their decades of gaming compliance enhances Sightline’s continued ability to offer payments innovations safely and securely.

Jennifer Carleton, Sightline’s chief legal officer, shared her excitement by saying that the new hires reaffirm the company’s best-in-class efforts when it comes to compliance, risk management and licensing. According to her, by hiring Nadeau and Whelan, Sightline ensures that it will be able to continue offering innovative payment methods securely and safely.

Whelan Brings More than 30 Years of Experience

Whelan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Before joining Sightline he served as VP of compliance at Interlock Gaming. With more than three decades of experience, Whelan has also held key roles at Caesars, Station Casinos, MGM Resorts International, Wynn Resorts and Penn National Gaming.

As a part of Sightline, Whelan will be overseeing the company’s risk management division. He will also be spearheading its fraud prevention activities and monitoring anti-money laundering efforts. In his new role, Whelan will also be in charge of monitoring millions of annual transactions that occur across the company’s vast 1.5 million cardholder network. Last but not least, he will manage the company’s risk team.

Nadeau Will Help Monitor Sightline’s Licensing

Nadeau has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and criminal justice from UNLV. Moreover, she is a certified compliance and ethical professional (CCEP) from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. Before joining Sightline, Nadeau served as executive director of global compliance at Wynn Resorts. Her career in the industry started more than 20 years ago when she was a part of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. She has also held key compliance roles as a part of Shuffle Master and IGT.

Joining Sightline, Nadeau will oversee the company’s licensing when expanding to new markets. Last but not least, Nadeau will oversee Sightline’s responsible gaming initiatives.
