SENET and ICGR Collaboration Delivers ‘Regulating the Game’

Australian advisory on gambling law, regulation, and compliance SENET announced today a new initiative in the space of training for organizations in the gambling sector set to take place this summer.
Exceptional Training Program
The 5-day ‘Regulating the Game’ educational program in collaboration with the International Center for Gaming Regulation (ICGR) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is scheduled to run concurrently with the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) from August 8, 2021, till August 13, 2021, at Sydney’s International Convention Centre (ICC).
“In the face of regulatory headwinds and associated public policy uncertainty, it is increasingly important for industry to demonstrate effective governance, contribute to policy discussions and cultivate a workplace culture of compliance and social responsibility.”
Paul Newson, Legal, Advisory & Compliance, SENET
The program aims to provide attendees with sector knowledge and emerging technology and product experience delivered by leading gaming industry specialists, to set the foundation of a deeper understanding of key compliance and regulatory principles that are about to determine the future direction of the sector.
“This course will equip individuals and organizations alike to enhance their capacity to participate in policy discourse, inform effective public policy, contribute to efficient regulation and help achieve a secure, safe, responsible, innovative and vibrant sector.”
Paul Newson, Legal, Advisory & Compliance, SENET
Shaping the Future of Gaming Industry
Besides the information delivered by expert faculty lecturers from the ICGR, the comprehensive and rigorous 5-day program will feature additional lectures from leaders in gambling law, regulation, public policy, and research, as well as case studies and group work to ensure attendees apply the principles in practice.
“Training of this nature with a mix of Australian and international experts is not available anywhere. It’s truly exceptional. We’ve lined up a star cast of leading practitioners in gambling law and regulation with vast industry knowledge and experience.”
Paul Newson, Legal, Advisory & Compliance, SENET
Attendees at the event sponsored by global gaming group Entain and forensics services agency Curby McLintock, will also be given a guided tour with the AGE and the opportunity to speak with exhibitors on subjects related to the upcoming gambling industry and responsible gaming technology.
Other sponsors of the educational program include a provider of testing, certification, and professional services for the gaming industry Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), Australian-based sportsbook operator Palmerbet, hospitality industry body in NSW Australian Hotels Association NSW, and Rugby League association Leagues Clubs Australia.
