Resorts World Guest Hits $11 Million Slots Jackpot With Only a $5 Bet

This week, a lucky Resorts World’s guest managed to hit an incredible jackpot of over $11 million. The guest had only come to Las Vegas to visit some family.

Early in the morning, after only having played for fifteen minutes, the guest was able to hit the jackpot. Resorts World is located on the Las Vegas Strip in Sin City.

This marks the Resorts World’s first-ever Megabucks jackpot in Las Vegas. The amount of money originally bet by the gambler was only $5. The probability of striking it big that the guest faced was 1/50,000,000.

The casino made a post on X announcing the celebratory event as well as congratulating the guests on their win:

“Congratulations to one lucky guest who hit an $11.1 MILLION jackpot on IGT’s Megabucks Mega Vault at Resorts World Las Vegas with just a $5 wager.”

The lucky devil won the eye-watering sum playing the IGT Megabucks Mega Vault at the property. Resorts World Las Vegas posted photos on social media, showing the exact sum of the win – $11,143,660.87.

Several months have passed since the last jackpot in the game was hit, all the way back on February 16.

The Megabucks jackpot goes back to $10 million throughout the entire state of Nevada every time someone wins.

This jackpot is progressive, meaning that the more it is played, the more money is added to the pot for the next lucky person.

Slot machines usually offer a choice on how winners can receive their prize, either through a smaller single payment or through yearly transfers, which are taxed. Megabucks jackpots are paid out over the span of 25 years if the annuity option is picked.

Resorts World isn’t the only place where, recently, guests have hit big jackpots.

Earlier this year, at the Virgin River Casino & Lodge in Mesquite, a guest managed to hit a $12 million jackpot once again with a $5 bet.

Recently, over at the Venetia, someone was able to scoop a $1.1 million slots jackpot.

Before that, in the same month, two other guests won large sums of money at the Venetian, one won a record-breaking $3.8 million at Texas Hold’em, and the other one won $1.5m on Pai Gow.
