Since the jackpot went unclaimed, the prize has continued to grow and is now standing at a staggering $820 million with an estimated cash value of $383.5 million.

The next drawing is set to take place on Saturday, December 6, providing millions of US players with a shot at a truly life-changing prize. The current jackpot notably ranks among the top 10 prizes Powerball has ever handed, meaning that its eventual winner will be literally writing history.

The huge Powerball prize comes in the wake of a busy Mega Millions season. The latter game recently awarded a player from Georgia with one of its biggest prizes yet. The lucky fan scooped up the stellar $980 million jackpot, making it the biggest prize ever won in the state.

Only a few weeks after that, a separate player, this time from New Jersey, won the game’s next big prize, which stood at $90 million, with a cash value of $43.9 million.

Casino players have also been winning big, with a DraftKings player recently winning the biggest iGaming jackpot in America’s history. The player in question won $22.4 million on a single $0.20 bet, making this quite a special occasion.
