Mega Millions Jackpot Eludes Players, Reaches $600M
This is notably only the 11th time in the game’s history that the jackpot has exceeded the $600 million mark

The Mega Millions jackpot has reached new heights after evading players for a while. Confident players can hope for a life-changing top prize of some $600 million.
The Last Drawing Crowned No Big Winners
The Mega Millions jackpot has continued to increase after it remained unclaimed during the most recent drawing. While a few players won five-figure sums, the big money continued to evade US lottery enthusiasts.
For context, Friday’s winning numbers were 3, 18, 23, 32, 56, with a Mega Ball of 8. If anyone had succeeded in matching all numbers correctly, they would have been in for a $575 million payday, with a lump cash option of $264.6 million.
As it turned out, no one hit all white numbers either, meaning that there was no recipient of either of Mega Millions’ seven-figure prizes.
However, a single player managed to score a $40,000 win on a 4x multiplier after guessing four numbers and the Mega Ball. Two more had the same guess, winning $30,000 each on a multiplier of 3x, while four players scooped up prizes of $20,000 on a 2x multiplier.
Really Exciting Time to Play
As mentioned, the jackpot has now reached an estimated $600 million, with a lump cash option of $277.2 million. This is notably only the 11th time in the game’s history that the jackpot has exceeded the $600 million mark. The pot has been growing since June 27, when the previous top prize of $349 million was won.
Joshua Johnston, lead director of the Mega Millions Consortium, commented on the matter, saying that now is a very exciting time to play.
Six hundred million dollars. When you say it out loud, it really puts it in perspective. That’s a huge amount of money that someone has a chance to win Tuesday night. It’s a really exciting time to play.

The next drawing is set to take place on Tuesday at 11 pm ET.
