Lottery Player in Michigan Left Speechless after $100K Second Chance Win

A lottery player from Genesee County, Michigan, was pleasantly surprised after securing a whopping six-figure second chance prize. On Thursday, the Michigan Lottery confirmed that the lucky woman was left speechless after realizing that she had won $100,000 from the 500X Money Maker second chance game.

Non-winning tickets from the popular 500X Money Maker ticket can be registered for a second chance prize. Lottery players who register such tickets can benefit from a prize between $500 and $100,000.

Registration of non-winning tickets is simple and can be done via the Michigan Lottery’s mobile application ticket scanner. It’s important to note that non-winning tickets must be registered no later than June 21, 2024, as there is only one second chance drawing for the game left to take place.

The final second chance drawing of the lottery game will take place on July 2. This is when one player will be awarded a $100,000 prize, while five winners will take home $10,000 each. On the other hand, 20 people will be awarded $1,000 each, while 60 people will win $500 each.

The Winner, “Speechless” after Receiving a Notification about the Win

Recently, the 54-year-old lottery winner, whose name was withheld, visited the Lottery headquarters to claim her prize. When asked what she plans on doing with the money, the winner said that she intends to invest it.

Remembering how she got to the $100,000 win, the Genesee County woman said that she scanned a lot of tickets ahead of the second chance drawing. “I was speechless when I saw an email from the Michigan Lottery saying I’d won $100,000,” she said.

The woman added that she called the Michigan Lottery to receive confirmation that she was the winner of the mouth-watering prize as she initially couldn’t believe it. The winner added: “It’s still hard to believe, but it’s starting to sink in a little bit being at the Lottery office claiming my prize!“
