LA Dodgers Pitcher Robbed at California Racetrack
Excel Baseball, Buehler’s agency, was quick to inform fans that the athlete and his wife were unharmed

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler has been among the victims of theft at a California racetrack. While the athlete is unharmed, he had a very expensive watch stolen, according to reports.
The Athlete Had His Expensive Watch Stolen
Buehler was among the LA Dodgers players who did not participate in the final regular season games in Colorado. With some free time on his hand the pitcher had decided to attend some horse races with his wife, McKenzie Buehler.
The unfortunate accident occurred on September 28 at the Santa Anita Park racetrack in Arcadia. As the couple walked to their seats from the Paddock, Buehler had had his watch – worth a six-figure sum, according to reports – stolen by an unknown perpetrator.
Excel Baseball, Buehler’s agency, was quick to inform fans that the athlete and his wife were unharmed. The agency referred to the theft as an instance of a “snatch and grab” robbery, which echoes other recent incidents at Santa Anita Park.
In the meantime, Buehler is preparing for the playoffs following a rather disappointing performance during the season. The athlete’s suboptimal performance was attributed to a recent ulnar collateral ligament surgery, also known as Tommy John surgery.
Buehler Is Not the Only Victim
As mentioned, Buehler is not the first victim of crime at the racetrack. According to the Arcadia Police, three incidents of theft had been identified on September 28 at Santa Anita Park.
In one case, a victim who was trying to navigate their way through a crowd was encircled by unknown people and promptly had his wristwatch stolen too. While the person understood that they had been robbed, the perpetrators disappeared into the crowd before they could do anything.
In a separate case, a victim was approached by three suspects. One of them tried to give him a hug, while another tried to steal his watch. However, that victim immediately confronted the criminals, forcing them to flee.
Thanks to the information provided by the latter victim, the authorities were able to arrest a 24-year-old suspect.
