Kambi Appoints Former Disney HR Boss Michelle Unsworth as Chief People Officer
Kambi CEO Werner Becher stated that Unsworth’s leadership and experience will be key to cultivating an environment where teams can thrive, innovate, and grow collaboratively

Kambi has appointed Michelle Unsworth as its new chief people officer, overseeing all aspects of the company’s global people strategy, including talent acquisition, leadership development, and employee experience.
Michelle Unsworth Announced as Kambi’s Chief People Officer
Over the past 20 years, the London-based industry professional has accumulated rich experience leading people functions and driving transformation across global organizations. She has built an extensive career supporting major brands in the technology, travel, and entertainment sectors. Most recently, Unsworth served as VP of people at online identity verification company Veriff, where she created its first company-wide people strategy.
Prior to that, Unsworth spent nearly five years at Travelport, beginning as senior people director, global, before being promoted to vice president of people. She also held senior HR roles at Expedia Group between August 2016 and November 2019, first as HR Director for EMEA and later as senior HR director, global, where she supported the company’s international workforce during significant growth and restructuring phases.
Earlier in her career, Unsworth worked at The Walt Disney Company from September 2012 to August 2016, serving as an HR Business Partner across multiple divisions, including licensing, sales, direct-to-consumer, and Disney Channel operations, in EMEA and the UK & Ireland.
Unsworth’s newest appointment comes at a time when Kambi is restructuring and changing its business approach. Kambi revealed a weaker Q2 earlier this summer, with officials saying this was due to the dynamic market. Kambi hiring Unsworth can therefore be regarded as a way for the company to bring individuals with rich experience in multiple business fields.
Officials Comment About the Appointment
Kambi CEO Werner Becher stated that Unsworth’s leadership and experience will be key to cultivating an environment where teams can thrive, innovate, and grow collaboratively. He emphasised that as Kambi continues to strengthen its position as a leading provider of premium sports betting solutions, Unsworth will play a pivotal role in aligning the company’s people strategy with its long-term goals—ensuring that its culture not only supports but accelerates future growth.
Commenting on her appointment, Unsworth expressed her enthusiasm for joining Kambi, describing the company as a global leader in B2B sports betting. She highlighted the excitement of working alongside talented professionals and building on Kambi’s strong, people-centric culture, adding that she looks forward to helping the team reach new levels of success.
