Hong Kong Jockey Club Adds Veteran Executive Terecina Kwong as EDMCE
In her new position at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Kwong will report directly to CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges
The Hong Kong Jockey Club has enhanced its team with the addition of the experienced Terecina Kwong as executive director of membership and customer excellence (EDMCE). The appointment was confirmed yesterday and will take effect from September 17, 2025.
Kwong Brings a Wealth of Experience to the Club
According to the Jockey Club’s official announcement, Kwong will become a member of the organization’s Board of Management. Described as an “accomplished executive with global expertise in customer management, technology, innovation and operations” across multiple markets, she will be an important addition to the Club’s team.
The Club added that Kwong boasts a Master of Business Administration degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. She has previously served as chief operating officer of HSBC International Wealth and Premier banking.
The Appointee Will Report Directly to the Club’s CEO
In her new position at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Kwong will report directly to CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges. Her responsibilities will include managing the Club’s Membership strategy to create “exceptional lifestyle and culinary experiences” for its members. Kwong will also enhance the customer experience strategy, ensuring best-in-class customer experiences.
As EDMCE, she will oversee the Jockey Club’s clubhouse and racecourse operations in both Hong Kong and mainland China. In addition to that, Kwong will be expected to promote the sport by highlighting its value to fans and encouraging more people to join the Racing Division’s horse ownership program.
Among other things, Kwong will also be responsible for the Jockey Club’s data strategy and governance, with a broad focus on owner, member and customer data.
In other news, Hong Kong officials recently dismissed tax revenue as their reason for ushering in legal basketball betting.
