Genius Sports Expanded Partnership Deal with DIMAYOR

A current relationship between Genius Sports and DIMAYOR, the governing body of Colombian soccer, has been expanded, the official data and technology supplier announced.

Exclusive Data and Distribution Rights

Founded in 1948, the Colombian Soccer Major Division (DIMAYOR) is the entity in charge of organizing, managing and regulating the Colombian Professional Soccer championships, and, according to the terms of the new contract, Genius Sports gained the exclusive rights to capture official data and live video streams from all Liga BetPlay, Torneo BetPlay, Copa BetPlay and Superliga BetPlay games and distribute it across its network of sports betting partners.

The deal with DIMAYOR follows in the footsteps of other similar agreements reached between Genius Sports and sports organizations like the National Football League, Argentine Football Association (AFA) and Liga MX. These make up Genius Sports’ portfolio of more than 150 regulated sports betting operators across the globe with access to premium data and content from Latin American markets.

Integrity Services Set to Continue

Speaking about the new deal, the president of DIMAYOR, Fernando Jaramillo, outlined the importance of the partnership between Genius Sports and professional soccer in Colombia in light of the growing interest worldwide towards the organization’s product.

As part of the expanded deal and to maintain the transparency and fairness within the game, as well as protect the integrity of Colombian soccer, Genius Sports will continue to provide DIMAYOR with integrity services via its premium Bet Monitoring System, which utilizes predictive algorithms to flag automatically suspicious events based on irregularities in betting activities.
