Fennica Gaming Grabs UAE License as Local Market Takes Shape
The launch in the UAE will further reinforce the company’s geographical presence, setting it up for future success

Yet another B2B company has secured a license to offer its products in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Despite its traditional opposition to games of chance, the country has made rapid strides toward growing its budding gaming market.
GCGRA Awards License to Fennica Gaming
In its official release, Fennica Gaming confirmed that it has been granted a Gaming Related Vendor License by the UAE’s regulator, the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA). The company, which provides world-class gaming solutions to partners across three continents, lauded this development as a major milestone in its international expansion efforts.
With this new license, Fennica Gaming will be allowed to legally provide its services to licensed gaming operators in the UAE market. In addition to representing a huge opportunity to become one of the frontrunners in the UAE’s fresh gaming ecosystem, this license highlights Fennica Gaming’s “ongoing commitment to compliance, integrity, and delivering high-quality gaming solutions in emerging and forward-looking jurisdictions.”
A Significant Step for the Supplier
Fennica Gaming’s managing director, Timo Kiiskinen, commented on the new license, expressing excitement about the opportunity to offer the company’s products in the UAE and calling it a significant step for his team.
The UAE represents a new dynamic market and for us a possibility to enter to a new continent and new markets. We are excited to contribute to the development of its regulated gaming sector with our trusted and innovative solutions.
Timo Kiiskinen, MD, Fennica gaming
Fennica Gaming’s content is currently available with operators across 15 countries. The launch in the UAE will further reinforce the company’s geographical presence, setting it up for future success.
Fennica Is Not the Only One Interested in Gaming in the UAE
A few days prior to Fennica Gaming’s announcement, Scientific Games, one of the biggest providers of iLottery products, also joined the UAE’s promising gaming market, vowing to supply cutting-edge solutions to its local partners. With operations spanning five continents, Scientific Games remained convinced about its future success in the region.
The UAE started warming up toward the idea of regulated gaming only recently, with these efforts culminating with the creation of the GCGRA in 2023. While it is still unknown how far the UAE’s gaming efforts will go, major casino companies are optimistic and closely monitoring the latest developments.
In the meantime, Max Tappeiner, the president of Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, recently commented on the property’s future, saying that it is poised to set a new hospitality standard in the emirates.
