Esportes da Sorte CEO Surrenders to Police Amid Money Laundering Probe
Darwin Henrique da Silva Filho, along with his wife, presented themselves to the authorities following their involvement in Operação Integration, a major investigation into illegal gambling and money laundering

Darwin Henrique da Silva Filho, who runs the betting company Esportes da Sorte, and his wife Maria Eduarda Quinto Filizola, have turned themselves in to the Pernambuco Civil Police. They showed up on their own after getting caught up in a big investigation called Operação Integration, which is looking into illegal gambling and money laundering.
Esportes da Sorte CEO and Wife Cooperate with the Authorities
The lawyer of the couple said they went to the police station and gave their statements, reported Brazilian media outlet O Globo. The defense also mentioned that the couple is helping out the authorities. They’re being looked at as part of a bigger crackdown that has also led to the arrest of influencer Deolane Bezerra.
The probe, which kicked off in December 2022, has led to the arrest of several people and the confiscation of valuable assets such as fancy cars, properties, and planes. The police have seized over BRL3 billion ($535.8 million) from different accounts tied to the shady dealings they are looking into. This cash comes from unlawful gambling operations, including the well-known “jogo do bicho” and other unauthorized betting rackets.
In a statement, Darwin Filho said he was surprised by the tough action against him. He pointed out his ongoing work to follow legal rules and his push to regulate sports betting in Brazil. He pledged to help with the investigation and stick to legal steps. Filho stressed that he has always backed legal practices in the betting world. He is sure the courts will sort out the situation.
Nationwide Crackdown Exposes Betting Companies in Money Laundering Scheme
The operation has uncovered the widespread use of betting companies to launder money from illegal gambling. This involves different areas like advertising and currency exchange. As the probe continues, law enforcement has given out many arrest warrants and search orders across the nation. Even with the big scale of the operation and the serious claims, Filho says his company’s work is legal and that the accusations are tied to wider criminal acts outside his business.
At the same time, Deolane Bezerra, who cops also nabbed in relation to the probe, is still behind bars. Her arrest has caused public anger, with her fans gathering outside the jail where she is locked up.Brazil’s authorities are stepping up their fight against unlawful betting and money-related offenses. This is clear from their close look at Esportes da Sorte and its connected companies.
