DraftKings Names Marie Donoghue Chief Business and Growth Officer
In her new role, the former ESPN and Amazon executive is expected to spearhead the company's growth

The leading digital sports entertainment and gaming company, DraftKings, strengthened its growing team with the addition of Marie Donoghue to the role of chief business and growth officer. Announced Thursday, the new appointment seeks to propel the company’s future growth and leadership within the entertainment and sports verticals.
Lauded as a strategic hire, Donoghue, as chief business and growth officer, is expected to leverage her extensive experience and play an important role in the future expansion of DraftKings. In her new role, she will be tasked with overseeing different internal processes.
Moreover, Donoghue will collaborate with DraftKings’ senior leadership teams and help seize new and emerging growth opportunities. Ultimately, the company anticipates further propelling its position as a leading sports and entertainment company, delivering exceptional products and supreme experiences.
Before joining DraftKings, Donoghue was a part of Amazon US, where she served as vice president of sports content and partnerships. At the time, she played a pivotal role in the positioning of Prime Video and Amazon. One of Donoghue’s many achievements involves Thursday Night Football, Prime Video’s Emmy Award-winning program.
Besides Amazon, the seasoned expert was also a part of ESPN for nearly two decades. During her time with the recognizable sports and media company, she held important senior-level roles, including executive vice president of global business and content strategy. While a part of ESPN, Donoghue oversaw important business partnerships, developments and affairs.
