DraftKings Keeps Top Spot as Leading Sportsbook App
The rankings, which evaluate aspects such as interface design, market variety, and overall functionality, continue to highlight DraftKings as the frontrunner in the US online betting landscape

DraftKings has held onto its number one position in the newest online sportsbook (OSB) app rankings put out by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming (EKG) for the first half of 2025. This is the second time in a row the platform has topped the industry in EKG’s evaluation, pulling ahead of its nearest competitor FanDuel.
Fanatics Is on the Rise While DraftKings and FanDuel Hold Market Dominance
The rankings, which take into account things like user interface, market depth, and feature integration, keep showing DraftKings’ leading position in the US online betting world. Some testers pointed out small problems with live streaming and the cash-out option, but they gave high scores to the app’s overall design and how easy it is to use.
FanDuel, which is part of Flutter Entertainment, holds onto a strong second place. DraftKings and FanDuel together still have a big chunk of the digital sportsbook market. However, they might soon face more rivals trying to catch up to them.
Fanatics, a newcomer to the OSB field, kept its third spot from late 2024. It has closed the gap with the top two players, setting itself up as a real threat in upcoming reports. After joining the rankings just a year back, Fanatics has moved up the list, showing its growing sway in the field.
Caesars Breaks Into Top Five as Digital Betting Push Gains Traction
In the meantime, Caesars Sportsbook reached a new high by moving up to fifth place in the latest EKG survey. The app’s updated look, with a better betting layout and more market choices, helped it crack the top five for the first time. This happens as Caesars gains momentum in the online casino world, where its Caesars Palace-branded app is said to be making headway.
The growth of Caesars Digital has caught the eye of not just customers, but also market experts and investors. With talk about spinning off the digital unit, some think the business’s value might be underestimated in Caesars Entertainment’s current stock price.
At the bottom of the list, BetMGM keeps having trouble with how fast and responsive its app is. The app has a good base, but EKG’s testers pointed out that slow loading times are making users less happy overall. An upgrade that has been promised to make the app work better could be key in helping BetMGM win back lost users and grow its customer base.
These new rankings show a changing and competitive digital sportsbook market where user experience and new technology keep driving success. As newer platforms get better and big names add new features, we can expect more changes in the scene in the coming months.
