The NFL’s Baltimore Ravens and DraftKings inked a deal on Wednesday. Under the partnership, DraftKings became the team’s Official Sports Betting and Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner.
DraftKings Inks Partnership with the Baltimore Ravens
American daily fantasy sports (DFS) contest and sports betting operator DraftKings announced a new deal on Wednesday with the Baltimore Ravens. Under the deal, DraftKings became an Official Daily Fantasy Sports and Official Sports Betting Partner of the team. Additionally, the company is also a Free-to-Play Partner of the Ravens.
The latest deal will bring DraftKings branding and custom content within the Raven’s weekly podcast, dubbed “The Lounge.” Moreover, the deal will see DraftKings as a title sponsor of Baltimore WBAL-1090 News Radio’s Gameday Insider pregame show, as well as a presenting sponsor of the Ravens Wired video online content series.
Boosting fan engagement, the collaboration will bring exclusive game-day experiences and a Punt, Pass & Kick (PPK) event, as well as autographed merchandise and away game trips for DraftKings customers. Commemorating the deal, the sportsbook will also launch a DraftKings-NFL Official Free-to-Play game. In addition, the agreement will increase DraftKings visibility at the M&T Bank Stadium.
The Deal Brings Fan Engagement and Unique Experiences
DraftKings’ chief business officer, Ezra Kucharz, revealed that the latest partnership complements the company’s continuously growing commitment to fan engagement. He acknowledged that the deal brings something for every type of sports fan, regardless of whether they are interested in free-to-play products, daily fantasy sports and soon sports betting. According to Kucharz, all those features will bring fans closer to the action of one of the top teams from the AFC North.
This partnership reflects our continued commitment to delivering unique engagement experiences for our fans.”
Kevin Rochlitz, chief sales officer, Baltimore Ravens
Kevin Rochlitz, chief sales officer of the Ravens, said that the recent partnership proves that the team is committed to delivering unique fan engagement experiences. Additionally, he outlined that the Ravens are proud to collaborate with such an industry leader as DraftKings. In conclusion, Rochlitz said that the Ravens are looking forward to “seeing the innovative ways,” which will enable the team to better connect with fans via multiple platforms.
The Ravens are the first partner DraftKings has signed in Maryland. However, the deal marks the fifth active strategic agreement signed by the company with an NFL team. With that in mind, DraftKings continues to build a relationship with the league as an Official Sports Betting Partner and Exclusive Daily Fantasy Partner.
