The seasoned gaming and entertainment industry veteran brings more than two decades of experience to Catena Media

The leading global company generating high-value leads for betting and online casino operators, Catena Media, announced a new senior-level appointment. The company confirmed Tuesday it hired the seasoned expert with a track record in the media and entertainment sector, Pierre Cadena.
Joining the company’s C-suite, he was appointed to the role of VP corporate strategy. Catena confirmed that in his new role, Cadena will oversee the development of its corporate strategy. Moreover, he will play an important role in the execution of this strategy across the organization, pushing for strategic positive changes.
Currently, Cadena holds an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a seasoned expert with more than two decades of experience. Cadena brings extensive knowledge and understanding after spearheading consumer technology growth within different media companies.
Michael Daly, Catena’s CEO, said that it is thrilling to see an expert with the rank of Cadena join the company. “His extensive expertise in strategic planning and executing growth for digital media and gaming companies will be a valuable asset for us and enable Pierre to play a core leadership role in our continued evolution in North America and beyond,” explained the CEO.

Earlier this month, Catena’s former non-executive director, Per Widerström, officially assumed his CEO position with 888, the globally recognized gaming and entertainment company. Besides being a part of Catena, Widerström also held a CEO role with Fortuna Entertainment Group.
The New VP Corporate Strategy Brings Extensive Experience
According to Catena, its new VP corporate strategy will operate from the United States where he currently resides. Although the announcement about Cadena’s appointment came this week, the company explained that he will assume his new role effective from November 1, 2023.
Before joining Catena, he was a part of Fox Entertainment. Throughout his extensive career at the entertainment company, Cadena held important senior-level roles such as head of revenue and strategy, as well as senior vice president. During his tenure with the company, he oversaw Fox Entertainment’s TMZ brand. Cadena’s strategic guidance played an important role in TMZ’s growth.
Outside of Fox Entertainment, Cadena was also a part of the digital solutions provider that helps customers connect with services that fit their needs, Raketech. At the time, he served as a non-executive director. His professional background includes other roles and extensive experience in gaming and sports betting affiliation.
