Ursula Servis Steps up as bet365 Communications Executive

Bet365 has appointed former Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) communications executive Ursula Servis to strengthen the company’s executive lineup. Servis is joining a company that continues to dominate the domestic and international markets with bet365’s results proving resilient despite the pandemic.

Servis, who has a rich background in communications, will help the company to raise awareness about responsible gambling and the role bet365 plays in forwarding a safer industry for all.

She will be tasked with specific marketing research, tapping into public perception of gambling as well as conducting various advertising campaigns and managing marketing budgets.

She will work directly under bet365 CEO Denise Coates and report on any public policy changes that may directly affect the company. Many companies are scurrying to bring new executives at a crucial time for the industry at home.

Difficult Time for Gambling Industry

The gambling revenue is coming in full force with some of the outcomes already speculated about. One such is the removal of shirt sponsorships between soccer clubs and gambling companies.

Presently, bet365 sponsors its own soccer club, Stoke City, offering both kit and stadium signage to drive awareness about its brand. Should partnerships be axed under the new law, this could negatively impact bet365’s own exposure on the UK market.

Nevertheless, bet365 has proven a resilient player with a proven track record. Bet365 was one of the many companies to donate a total of $125 million last year to tackle problem gambling.

Servis will take charge at communications drawing from her vast experience in both the BGC and the Association of British Bookmakers where she served for six years prior to the rebranding.

Most recently, bet365 teamed up with Playtech for a successful launch of its casino portfolio in New Jersey.
