Austrian Tennis Association Hires Sportradar Integrity Services

World-leading supplier of sports integrity solutions Sportradar Integrity Services signed a 2-year agreement with the Austrian Tennis Association to deploy its monitoring services for Energie Burgenland ÖTV State Championships.
Bet Monitoring Services
Under the terms of the integrity deal, Sportradar’s unit will deploy the monitoring and reporting capabilities of its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) to provide bet monitoring for both men’s and ladies’ matches from the singles and doubles and mixed doubles of the tournament.
“We are delighted to welcome on board the Austrian Tennis Association as our newest tennis partner. At Sportradar, we are committed to helping our sporting partners detect and prevent manipulation, and to identify and mitigate all forms of integrity risk.”
Andreas Krannich, Managing Director, Sportradar Integrity Services
Based on sophisticated mathematical models paired with machine learning, the UFDS already proved its value supporting the global team of qualified integrity specialists in analyzing irregularities in betting patterns across the globe, with more than 600 suspicious matches detected in 2020 and over 6,000 reports for the past 15 years.
“Our dedicated team of integrity analysts who specialise in tennis will help to ensure that the ÖTV State Championships are put in the best place to succeed, and we look forward to a fair and exciting on-court experience the fans can enjoy.”
Andreas Krannich, Managing Director, Sportradar Integrity Services
Tennis in the Footsteps of Soccer
Independently assessed and verified by integrity experts in the field of sports betting, the UFDS provides visibility to tackle match-fixing and protect the integrity of sports. The bet monitoring system has already been deployed by the Austrian Football Federation (ÖFB) after a deal the organization signed with Sportradar Integrity Services in May this year.
“We recognise that match-fixing and other associated integrity issues pose a significant threat to fair sporting competition. This agreement for Sportradar Integrity Services to monitor the ÖTV State Championships through their UFDS solution will give us valuable integrity protection, as their team will be able to alert us to any potential irregularities they may encounter.”
Thomas Schweda, Managing Director, Austrian Tennis Association
The agreement with the Austrian Tennis Association is the latest in a series of integrity deals Sportradar Integrity Services signed with sports organizations worldwide. Also in May, the integrity services unit of Sportradar agreed with the Estonian Center for Integrity in Sports (ESTCIS) to deploy the UFDS system across domestic soccer, basketball, volleyball, and handball competitions in the country starting from October 2021.
