ZapBets, an Innovative Message-based Betting Platform Unveiled at ICE London 2023
A unique message-based betting platform has gone live in Brazil and aims to expand its business to Africa and India

ZapBets offers curated and well-known sports and entertainment events, where fans can bet any value in a matter of seconds using their preferred messaging app (WhatsApp, Telegram, among others).
Roberto Marinho, one of its founders, highlighted what this new platform brought to the table:
We’ve stripped away the information overload, the unusual terms and the complexity found on almost all betting websites, making the process truly easy and accessible for everyone through popular messaging apps.
Roberto Marinho, one of its founders
Marinho also said the company has a proprietary CRM platform optimized for messaging apps, with real-time analytics to increase activation, conversion, and retention.
The brand also uses the hugely popular instant payment method in Brazil, through a close partnership with a local digital wallet.
EMW Global, the agency managing Zapbet’s partnerships and expansion strategy also commented:
“Messaging apps like WhatsApp are extremely popular around the world, especially in Asia and LATAM. Bringing the possibility of betting through these apps will increase both audience and retention by huge amounts”
