Yggdrasil Secures Danish iGaming License from Regulator
The studio behind such blockbusters as Vikings Go Berzerk and Valley of the Gods has received a long overdue license approval in Denmark

Yggdrasil has broken ground into yet another European jurisdiction, with the company establishing itself in the Danish iGaming market following up a regulatory approval.
Yggdrasil’s iGaming Portfolio to Expand to Denmark
The company secured the go-ahead from the Spillemyndigheden, the Danish Gambling Authority, which will further enhance the studio’s presence in the Nordic region, and help it maintain a strong presence in the local market’s iGaming ecosystems.
The approval from Spillemyndigheden will see Yggdrasil’s sprawling portfolio of titles finally available at locally licensed online casinos, although no official partnership has been announced just yet.
Commenting on what has been hailed as a tremendous success by the company leadership, Yggdrasil chief commercial officer Jose Simon said that he was pleased to see Yggdrasil secure this important milestone.
“We are thrilled to kick-start 2025 with such positive news as Yggdrasil continues to further showcase its presence in key regulated markets worldwide,” Simon added.
Yggdrasil itself is a company with Scandinavian roots, he explained and added that the supplier was finally able to deliver its quality content to local players in the Danish market.
Apart from securing a major license approval, Yggdrasil has also been busy putting together exciting games. The studio’s YGG Masters partner, Reflex Gaming, has just released Thor’s Hammer Time.
Yggdrasil has been looking to consolidate its presence in various markets, including Belarus where the company rolled out with Fonbet. In December, the company also teamed up with CoinCasino.
