Studio in a Box expands on the company’s previously launched Game in a Box product. Game in a Box follows a similar philosophy, allowing clients to leverage a carefully curated toolset to develop their own slot games at minimum costs compared to traditional development.

According to representatives, Yggdrasil’s ultimate goal is to “democratize” game creation.

Yggdrasil Teamed Up with 4ThePlayer to Release a New Game

In other news, Yggdrasil recently teamed up with 4ThePlayer, pairing the latter company’s 4 Fantastic Fish franchise with the former’s Vikings Go Berzerk series. The resulting title was dubbed 4 Fantastic Vikings Go Ice Fishing and combined the best the two companies had to offer.

In September 2025, Fredrik Elmqvist, Yggdrasil Gaming’s founder, embarked on a journey to breathe new life into the online gambling sector with the launch of a new studio called EXCO Game Studio.
