Carnival Cruise Line, an international Florida-headquartered cruise line, has unveiled major improvements to its ships, including an expanded casino at Carnival Conquest. This change seeks to capitalize on the growing demand for onboard entertainment.

Carnival Boosts Conquest’s Appeal with Expanded Casino

With Bahamas cruises becoming more and more popular, Carnival Cruise Line is adding a variety of fleet upgrades, including new stops, features, and attractions. Among other things, the upgrades include an expanded casino at one of the company’s ships.

According to the announcement, Carnival Conquest spent 12 days in dry dock to receive major upgrades. As mentioned, these included an expansion of its onboard casino, which will dazzle passengers with cutting-edge gaming experiences.

Carnival Cruise Line said that the casino’s layout has been redesigned to allow for the addition of more gaming options. This increase in variety seeks to increase engagement and improve the passenger experience.

In addition to that, the refurbished casino includes a non-smoking area that will boost its appeal among gamblers who do not smoke.

Conquest Installs New Heroes Bar, Upgrades Club O2

Additional changes to Carnival Conquest include the addition of Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, a staple across many Carnival Cruise Line ships. As the title suggests, this line of bars honors US veterans and active-duty service members, raising funds for initiatives to help military families.

With that, 18 of the Carnival ships now boast a Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge.

That’s not all, however, as the recent upgrades also saw the addition of new gaming areas to Carnival Conquest’s Club O2. Club O2 is Carnival’s dedicated teen area where adolescents can watch movies, listen to modern music, play sports and video games, and even hold proms.

In addition to the significant upgrades to Conquest, Carnival also announced new dining additions to Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter, two of its Australia-based cruise ships.

Hawaii Eyes Cruise Ship Gaming

In the meantime, Hawaii lawmakers recently discussed a potential measure that would permit cruise ship gambling. Per HB 1945, Hawaii would allow cruise ships to offer real-money games of chance in its waters, allowing the state to tap into the growing demand for such entertainment.

If passed, HB 1945 would not create a new regulatory body but instead place cruise ship gaming under the purview of the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
