Wondr Nation Launches Pop Culture Prediction Contest
Prediction games are becoming increasingly popular, with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s company now entering the fray and coming up with a title of its own

Wondr Nation, the online gaming and entertainment arm of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, has announced a new partnership with social gaming technology company Sparket.
Wondr Nation Plows Forward into Culture Prediction Contests
The partnership sees the companies launch a series of products branded under the iWondr brand, with the first one featuring an immersive F2P game that focuses on pop-culture references. Wondr Nation CEO Anika Howard:
This partnership allows us to bring a completely new, culturally relevant experience to audiences who may not typically participate in traditional gaming. At WONDR NATION, we’re committed to innovation that blends culture, technology, and community, and iWondr is a great example of that vision coming to life.

The prediction contest will offer users the chance to make forecasts and back possible outcomes on trending moments, including top-grossing box office movies, music, television, and more. The iWondr brand will leverage an engagement tool for select events and activations, an official press release.
This will allow for real-time interaction among attendees and spectators, for example, and seek to expand the library of what is possible to bet on. iWondr will also seek to evolve with current trends and make sure that it stays on top of entertainment news and viral trends.
Audience-first Innovation that Upends the “Betting” Experience
Commenting on this new solution, Sparket CEO and Co-Founder Aaron Basch said, “We created Sparket to make social gaming a more interactive experience. Wondr Nation’s vision and commitment to audience-first innovation make them the perfect partner to roll out a new form of play that’s engaging and culturally in tune.”
These pop culture predictions will be available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age, and they will run nationwide. Users will also be incentivized by leaderboards and other rewards and promotions.
Prediction markets are taking hold as a viable alternative to sports betting, and especially when they utilize a solution such as Sparknet’s “Social Betwork” tech, bringing together prediction contests and community.
