A woman from Hackham in South Australia turns out to be the winner of an AUD 20 million ($13.4 million) Powerball jackpot. The drawing took place on Thursday, December 25, 2025, with a single winner emerging, but their identity was unknown until now.

The winner was not originally registered with The Lott Members Club, which means that The Lott had no means of tracing the winner, had she not stepped forward. Luckily for everyone involved, she did.

Commenting for The Lott about the experience of finding out about being a freshly minted millionaire, she described the experience as surreal, with the realization accompanied by a strong physical response.

“My hands are shaking! I can’t believe it! Incredible. Honestly, you often wonder what people feel like when they win this much money. I’m shaking like a leaf.”

The woman already has some plans about what she will do with the money, and this includes doting on her family to help out, as well as backing charities she likes.

“A lot of people could do a lot of good with this money. I always like to give where I can, no matter what the amount. Now I can give a little more,” the woman said.

The numbers that were drawn and proved the winners were 7, 23, 29, 20, 11, 16, and 17. The Powerball number was 17.
