Werner Becher to Succeed Kristian Nylén as Kambi’s CEO
The appointee is set to step into the office on July 25, a day after the publication of the company’s Q2 2024 report

Kambi Group has appointed Werner Becher, an experienced gambling industry veteran, as its new chief executive officer. Set to replace the outgoing Kristian Nylén in late July, Becher will bring a wealth of experience, setting Kambi up for future success.
The appointee is an industry powerhouse who has formerly served a variety of noteworthy companies. Most recently, Becher served Sportradar, originally joining the company as managing director for the USA in 2019. He was eventually promoted to Sportradar’s CEO for the EMEA region and Latin America.
As part of Sportradar, Becher played a key role in the company’s initial public offering and listing on the Nasdaq market.
Before joining Sportradar, Becher served as chief executive of Interwetten, a major European betting and gaming operator. In this position he drove growth, cementing Interwetten as a dominant force in Europe.
Becher’s robust leadership, corporate excellence and intimate understanding of the gaming sector made him the perfect candidate to become Kambi’s next CEO. In this position, he will be tasked with building on Kambi’s success and industry position.
The appointee is set to step into the office on July 25, a day after the publication of the company’s Q2 2024 report.

In a Q&A available on Kambi’s website, Becher attributed the company’s success to its mastery of the sportsbook vertical, which has cemented it as the preferred partner of many companies. He vowed to leverage his understanding of the sector to help Kambi make further headways.
In other news, Kambi recently repurchased 55,000 shares as part of its share buyback program.
