Two Florida Lottery Players Win Millions from Scratch-off Tickets

Two players in Florida have become the state’s latest millionaires after scratching their lucky tickets. These included a player of Homosassa, as well as a player of Boynton Beach.
Homosassa Man Fired Up After Winning $2M from Scorching Hot 7s
According to the lottery’s recent announcement, Antonio Gaspar, a 65-year-old player from Homosassa, had won a life-changing $2 million top prize. The Florida Lottery elaborated that the prize was won on a $10 Scorching Hot 7s scratch-off ticket that the lucky winner purchased from 7-Eleven, located at 765 S. Broad Street in Brooksville.
Gaspar visited the Florida Lottery HQ in Tallahassee on October 8. Like many other lottery winners, he opted to receive his money as a one-time lump sum payment of $1,172,000.00.
The Florida Lottery added that the overall odds of winning any prize from Scorching Hot 7s are 1 in 3.39. However, getting the top prize is not as easy, with the odds of winning $2 million standing at 1 in 4,058,100.
As of the time of this writing, there are two more top prizes remaining, as well as seven prizes of $10,000.
Boynton Beach Woman Has the Holidays of Her Life with $1M Holiday Ca$h Win
On the following day, the Florida Lottery announced that Yvonne Hill-McKinnie, 59, of Boynton Beach, won $1 million from a separate game. Hill-McKinnie won her prize from the $1,000,000 Holiday Ca$h scratch-off game just in time for Christmas. Hill-McKinnie visited the lottery HQ in Tallahassee on December 22, opting to take the lump sum of $606,700.00.
Lottery officials reported that the lucky woman purchased her $20 ticket from Publix, located at 6627 Boynton Beach Boulevard in Boynton Beach.
For context, the $1 million prize Hill-McKinnie won was the third top prize to land. The lottery’s website shows that there is one more $1 million prize remaining, as well as five outstanding prizes of $100,000. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 2.68, with the odds of winning a top prize being 1 in 2,130,188.
More Players in America Won Big
In other news, a player in Illinois just won $550K after matching all five numbers in Wednesday’s Lotto drawing. This came shortly after two separate players in New Jersey won prizes of $2 million and $6 million.
