Treasure Island Announces Snoop Dogg Will Perform at Minnesota Venue
Treasure Island has announced that the upcoming concert is for ages 5+, meaning that parents will be allowed to bring their children to see the hip-hop legend
Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Minnesota has landed its biggest act yet for the 2026 Summer Concert Series, announcing that Snoop Dogg will perform on Saturday, September 5, at the venue’s 16,000-seat outdoor amphitheater.
Snoop to Perform at Treasure Island in Minnesota
Snoop Dogg is easily the biggest headliner in the 2026 Treasure Island Summer Concert Series, which also features acts like Yachtley Crew (July 3), comedian Gabriel Iglesias (July 31), and Shinedown (August 21). Since releasing his debut album, Doggystyle, in 1993, Snoop has been a trailblazer in hip-hop, expanding his reach into television, film, sports, and even lifestyle ventures, alongside Martha Stewart. The West Coast legend was also named one of Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” last year.
Treasure Island features more than 1,800 slot machines, along with video poker and video keno, plus 40 live dealer table games, a dedicated poker room, and a 500-seat bingo hall. The property also includes Minnesota’s second-largest hotel, with 788 rooms, and is owned and operated by the Prairie Island Indian Community. Located in Welch, the entertainment complex is about a 40-minute drive from the Twin Cities.
While the rapper’s music has always featured many mature themes, it is obviously not suitable for small children. However, Treasure Island has announced that the upcoming concert is for ages 5+, meaning that parents will be allowed to bring their children to see the hip-hop legend. According to Treasure Island Amphitheater regulations, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. However, parental discretion is still recommended for younger attendees.
Treasure Island’s site also notes that the sale and use of cannabis at the concert is strictly prohibited, although it will likely be difficult to enforce that, considering Snoop Dogg’s relationship with the devil’s herb. He has long been a prolific user of the substance, which is a common theme in his songs. Snoop is even an investor in several cannabis companies.
Snoop Is More Deeply Involved in gambling than Just This Concert
While obviously most famous for his extensive music career, Snoop Dogg has also been involved in gambling as well through a sweepstakes casino platform called the Dogg House Casino. The artist launched the casino earlier this year, claiming he modeled it after the way he wants to play.
Dogg House Casino, which is available via website and app, offers a music playlist and interactive gaming experience said to be curated by Snoop. Its sweepstakes currency is called Dogg Cash, a form of digital credit that can be redeemed for cash. The platform features Snoop-themed slots and table games, along with the option to play poker against a virtual version of the rapper.
