UK Regulator Scrutinized Social Media Giants
Speaking of UK regulation, the UKGC’s executive director, Tim Miller, just scrutinized social media operators for turning a blind eye to illegal gaming ads.
In a speech delivered at ICE Barcelona, he accused tech giants of wanting to have their cake and eat it due to their lax policy on illegal gambling ads on their platforms. He rejected the notion that these companies are unaware of the ads in question and encouraged them to be more responsible if they wish to maintain a positive relationship with the regulated gaming industry.
