Thad Jean vs. Logan Storley 2025 PFL 8 Odds, Time, and Prediction
Thad Jean vs. Logan Storley is the main event of 2025 PFL 8. The two welterweights will fight for the title – and a $1,000,000 paycheck – on Friday, August 1, at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City
Thad Jean is a rising star in the MMA universe, with a professional record of 10-0. Nicknamed “The Silverback,” he’s unusually tall for a welterweight, standing at 6’2. That’s five inches taller than his opponent in the fight for one million dollars – Logan Storley.
But Storley (18-3) has experience on his side. The former Minnesota state champ in high school wrestling had a successful career in Bellator MMA before moving to the PFL.
His PFL story didn’t start well – he got KO-ed by Shamil Musaev – but since then, he’s 3-0. And he’s got a chance to make himself a millionaire. For that, he needs to outsmart Thad Jean on August 1.

Biggest Fight in Thad Jean’s Life
Thad Jean is a hell of a striker who won 50% of his fights by KO/TKO. That actually isn’t much of a surprise given that he’s 6’2, which is pretty tall for the Welterweight Division. In fact, this guy is taller than anyone Logan Storley has ever fought, apart from Michael “Venom” Page.

He also has a 4.5-inch reach advantage over Storley, meaning that he has what it takes to keep him at a distance. Actually, we’re pretty certain that he’ll try to turn the 2025 PFL 8 headliner into a striking contest.
The problem, however, is that he’s never fought someone with such extensive experience as Storley.
Logan Storley Going for That $1M Check
Logan Storley is one of the best wrestlers in the PFL. As a high school student, he won the state championship six times. Then, as a college student, he won bronze in the NCAA Division I Championships.
His MMA career started in 2015, and he went 11-0 before suffering his first-ever loss. This happened against legendary Bellator fighter Yaroslav Amosov – Storley lost by a split decision.
Storley bounced back quickly, winning the next three fights, including the one against Michael Page, a tactical kickboxer who’s even taller than Thad Jean.
Amosov ended Storley’s run once again, but since that fight, the American is 4-1. He did get KO-ed on his PFL debut, but since then, he’s been nothing short of brilliant.
Thad Jean vs. Logan Storley Prediction
Our pick is Logan Storley. We think he’s going to become the next PFL Welterweight millionaire. He’s a fantastic wrestler with amazing striking skills. Plus, he’s tough as nails, so even if Jean hurts him, he won’t give up. This goes especially given that there’s a $1M check at stake.
Pick: Logan Storley
