Steve Wynn Transferred $32M Florida Mansion to Stepson, Ending Family Feud

It seems the two have mended their relations after Wynn transferred a six-bedroom, nine-bathroom estate on the ultra-exclusive Everglades Island in West Palm Beach to his stepson

A few weeks ago, former casino magnate Steve Wynn transferred a $32 million mansion in West Palm Beach, Florida, to his stepson, Nick Hissom, aiming to resolve a longstanding family feud between the two, which stems from a raunchy music video the latter made.

Wynn Transfers Expensive Mansion to His Stepson

Last year, Wynn and his wife, Andrea, were reportedly furious over stepson Hissom’s music video, which included raunchy scenes with a group of muscular adult film actors, and as a result, he asked him to leave the family’s Los Angeles mansion. According to sources of Page Six, staff packed up his belongings, and his car was relocated to the street. Regardless of the official explanation, the split was abrupt and highly visible.

However, now it seems the two have mended their relations after Wynn transferred a six-bedroom, nine-bathroom estate on the ultra-exclusive Everglades Island in West Palm Beach to his stepson. Previously owned by advertising executive Richard Schaps and his wife Linda, the property also features a private dock.

Interestingly, Wynn has a history of investing heavily in real estate to navigate family relationships and exert influence. Back in 2024, he and Andrea purchased another West Palm Beach mansion for $12.9 million, reportedly for Hissom and his brother Alex. A source told Page Six that Wynn intended for his stepsons, Alex and Nick Hissom, to redevelop the property, complete with its own dock and views of Mar-a-Lago, into a distinctive Palm Beach residence.

Now, with an even more lavish estate, the family dynamic is once again in the public eye, with observers closely monitoring every development.

Wynn Once More Into the Public Spotlight

Over the past years, Steve Wynn has largely stayed out of the public spotlight, largely keeping to himself following a high-profile sexual assault scandal that damaged his reputation and resulted in Nevada barring him from the state’s gaming industry. Wynn left Wynn Resorts when he resigned as both CEO and chairman of the board on February 6, 2018, due to the series of scandals. Despite that, friends of the billionaire have urged him to open a new casino, a notion that he himself has entertained, albeit probably in a more joking manner.

Hissom, meanwhile, also appears prepared to put the feud behind him. In an interview with Page Six, he stated, “I dropped the raciest video of the summer. Did it cause tension? Sure. But name me a family dinner table that hasn’t seen tension sometimes. Bottom line: I love my family, and they love me.”
