Stephen Thompson vs. Gabriel Bonfim UFC Nashville Odds, Time, and Prediction
Stephen Thompson vs. Gabriel Bonfim is the co-main event of UFC on ESPN 70 a.k.a., UFC Nashville – as it’s taking place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN

Stephen Thompson is already 42, and he’s without a win for two and a half years, with two losses in a row. Another loss could mean it’s time for retirement for “Wonderboy.” That’s why we expect him to go all-in on July 12 against Gabriel Bonfim, who’s 15 years his junior and who’s got just one loss in his portfolio.
Stephen Thompson vs. Gabriel Bonfim Odds
Moneyline | Odds |
---|---|
Stephen Thompson | +300 |
Gabriel Bonfim | -400 |
When, Where, and How to Watch?
- Place: Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee
- Date: Saturday, July 12, 2025
- Time: 9:00 p.m. ET
- How to Watch: ESPN
Stephen Thompson’s Odds of +300 Suggest He’ll Lose on July 12
Stephen Thompson is 17-8-1 overall with wins over some of the greatest welterweights/middleweights of his generation – Jorge Masvidal, Robert Whittaker, Vicente Luque, Kevin Holland, etc.
He got those wins by making the most out of his incredible striking skills. This guy is one of the best kickboxers in the division. His kicks and punches are powerful, precise, and there’s plenty of them – “Wonderboy” averages 4.11 significant strikes per minute.
He also moves fast and is great at dodging strikes, getting hit only 3.02 times per 60 seconds. However, he’s got some weaknesses. He’s not a very good wrestler, and his gas tank might not be as great as it was a decade ago.
Gabriel Bonfim Wants to Continue His Rise
Two years ago, Gabriel Bonfim’s undefeated run was ended by Nicolas Dalby, who beat him by a TKO. But he bounced back with two straight wins.
Another submission victory added to the resume ✅

First, he won the 15-minute war with Ange Loosa, getting a win by out-striking the guy. Then, we saw him out-wrestle Khaos Williams and win by submission with a D’Arce choke.
The Brazilian fighter is a well-rounded fighter with great stamina, which explains why UFC Nashville odds are in his favor. The only thing he doesn’t have is too much experience fighting against elite opponents. In fact, Thompson is arguably his biggest challenge so far.
Stephen Thompson vs. Gabriel Bonfim Prediction
Who’s gonna win the UFC Nashville co-main event? We think it’s gonna be Bonfim. Sure, Thompson is a real legend of the UFC, but at the age of 42 and two losses in a row, he doesn’t look capable of doing much. This goes especially given that his opponent is a well-rounded rising star.
Pick: Gabriel Bonfim
