The Spain vs. France 2025 Nations League semifinal is bound to be a real banger as these two are among the best teams in the world. In fact, the combined value of their rosters is over $2 billion.
Spain is the defending champion of the UEFA Nations League, as well as the team with the shortest odds to win this year’s trophy. However, we don’t think France should be underestimated as this is arguably the most well-rounded national team on Earth.

Reasons Why Spain are Favored to Win the 2025 Nations League
Spain won the Nations League two years ago, while last year, they won the Euros. This generation of La Roja has already done so much despite the fact that a number of its key men are still teenagers or at least in their early 20s.
Spain’s most expensive player is Lamine Yamal who’s just 17. His colleague from Barcelona, Pedri, is second on the list of Spanish players with the highest price tag. He’s 22, the same as Nico Williams, who’s third on the list.
The oldest player in Spain’s squad is team captain, Alvaro Morata who’s 32. The Spaniards are young, but they have plenty of experience already. The problem, however, is that the same goes for France.
Can France Upset the Betting Odds on June 5?
While Spain’s best players are attacking-minded wingers and midfielders, France are a more well-rounded bunch. This team has at least one world-class player for every position on the field.
France’s biggest star is Kylian Mbappe, but others aren’t trailing much behind him in terms of talent. His colleague from the attacking department, Ousmane Dembele, has had a much better season than him. The same goes for Dembele’s PSG teammates, Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola.
This team also has a very strong midfield, with Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni in the center. In the defense, they have arguably the best center-back on the planet, William Saliba, as well as Jules Kounde and Dayot Upamecano.
They also have Lucas Digne and Theo Hernandez on the flanks. On top of everything, their goalie Mike Maignan is one of the best shot-stoppers in the world, almost as good as Spain’s David Raya.
Spain vs. France Prediction
We think France has what it takes to stage an upset in the Nations League semifinal. The last time these two played, Spain won 2:1 – in the semifinal of the Euros. However, this time around, France’s players are in much better form, especially those playing for PSG.
