Scientific Games South Carolina Lottery Promo Drives Sales and Engagement
The prominent lottery company has reported sterling results from South Carolina, where its products have been spearheading robust results for the local state lottery operations

A further enhancement has been introduced through the arrival of the Lucky Day digital second-chance promotion, which has been tied to a significant increase in sales for two retail scratch-off games, to wit $1 Wild Luck and $2 Crazy Luck.
Lucky Day Promotion Gives Lottery Players a Second Chance
Thanks to the new promotion, Wild Luck is now performing 36% higher than all other $1 SCEL scratch-offs, and Crazy Luck is doing 17% better than all other SCEL $2 games, Scientific Games wrote in a press statement, demonstrating the successful marketing campaign the company has undertaken to boost engagement and sales for the two games specifically.
Both games were launched in February and they have been able to top $5.2 million in sales with 23,000 unique users buying a total of 335,00 tickets online. This increase in the two games is mostly owing to the Lucky Day promotion which essentially scoops up non-winning Wild Luck and Crazy Luck scratchers and offers a second-chance award of up to $500.
The bonus games take place online with a wheel spun for a chance to grab the prize on the spot. The promotion was developed to boost Scientific Games’ commitment to driving results across its omnichannel experience, covering both the retail and online lottery experience, and creating new, meaningful, and engaging ways for players in all media and verticals.
Commenting on the recent success of the game, and the digital promotion, South Carolina Education Lottery director of product development Ammie Smith said:
By linking our physical scratch-off ticket to the digital second-chance opportunity, we’re offering South Carolina players a unique omnichannel experience that they’re clearly enjoying, and it’s driving sales.

Scientific Games president of Americas and global instant products John Schulz was similarly excited to see how well the company’s products have performed in South Carolina.
The addition of these new digital enhancements and second-chance bonus games have truly helped the $1 and $2 games to hold additional significance and the Lucky Day digital enhancement has been hailed as a success story.
South Carolina currently ranks as the fourth’s biggest lottery in the world when it comes to instant game per capita sales, which makes it a significant area of interest for Scientific Games as well.
