San Bernardino Resident Turns Poker Play into $180K Win

A Chumash Casino Resort frequent player has left the property with $180,000, sharing her good fortune with a few players

A woman who was visiting the Chumash Casino Resort scooped up an unexpected jackpot win, playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Enjoying a leisurely game of poker, the woman secured the six-figure prize on Wednesday, September 17, with the property publicizing the win only recently.

A Frequent Player, Adisa Is a Quiet Winner

The guest, Adisa M. of Chino Hills, scooped up $180,546 on that fateful morning just after she checked out of her hotel room, but decided to give it another shot before leaving. She placed a $2 side wager for the Multi-Progressive Table Games Jackpot, and just like this, a good fortune struck.

Commenting on her win, Adisa was happy with the outcome and also showed a fair bit of generosity towards the other players, as well as the dealer.

“The other players at the table each got $2,000 for being part of my hand. I gave them each a little more, and the dealer $5,000. She gave me big money, so I gave her $5,000,” she said.

Adisa did recount the story of her win by saying that, despite the joy of having secured the prize, she was unable to really express it too loudly. In contrast, a fellow player who was at the table at the time was happier and certainly noisier than Adisa, she recounted.

However, her win is not quite random. She has been a frequent player at the casino, and she goes to Chumash every week.

“I love the dealers and everyone is so nice. That’s the main reason why I go. Everyone knows each other; the dealers know the customers and the customers know each other. It’s like family,” she added.

Adisa is not the only person to have left the property with a spot of good luck; however, other table games have produced various jackpots, including $215,000 and $278,000 table game wins, among other large-sized payouts!
