Feel-good jackpot stories are all over Las Vegas, and, fittingly, Resorts World Las Vegas was the latest story to produce one of the biggest winners on the Strip on Thanksgiving.
The property handed out $11.1 million to a visiting family, which was in town for a break when the tremendously good fortune struck. The family was playing the Megabucks Vault slot game by IGT when the major win occurred.
The jackpot, though, is not a milestone for the family only, as this is the first Megabucks jackpot to have been won on-site at the property. As to the details of how the win occurred, there weren’t too many available, but it all came down to a lucky gaming session.
The family started playing in the wee hours and spent about 15 minutes placing $5 bets at a time, when the machine produced the eye-watering win, making the holiday even more special and memorable!
Speaking of large jackpots, DraftKings ended up paying $22.4 million over the Internet, setting a new iGaming record in the country.
