Play’n GO Enters Land-Based Casino Market with Exclusive Genting Partnership
Play’n GO’s games have been available in the UK land-based market for over six months as part of a trial run at Genting’s flagship Resorts World Casino in Birmingham and the rollout is now expanding to more than 30 other venues
Play’n GO, a global leader in casino entertainment, has announced that its industry-leading game portfolio is now available in land-based casinos for the first time in the company’s 20-year history.
Play’n GO Announces Launch of Games in Land-Based Casinos
Launching with BOOM Slots, a newly developed cabinet created exclusively for Genting venues, this partnership brings 13 Play’n GO titles to the land-based scene for the first time. Among the debut games are some of the world’s most popular online slots, including Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead, Reactoonz, Honey Rush 100, and Buildin’ Bucks.
Play’n GO’s games have been available in the UK land-based market for over six months as part of a trial run at Genting’s flagship Resorts World Casino in Birmingham. The rollout is now expanding across more than 30 Genting casino properties throughout the UK, including Genting Stratford, which is London’s largest casino. The full deployment is expected to be completed by December.
Johan Törnqvist, chief executive officer and co-founder of Play’n GO, described the launch as a landmark moment for the company and the realization of a shared vision with Genting, which is to bring top-tier online casino content and features to land-based casino floors around the world. He emphasized that Play’n GO’s mission is to “create innovative and entertaining gaming experiences everywhere,” and noted the company’s excitement to include physical casinos for the very first time.
This isn’t the only major development that Play’n GO has been up to in recent weeks. Last month, Play’n GO released Rosy Orbit Treasure Turn, a fairytale-style slot telling the story of a tiny rose-covered planet. However, it’s still unknown if that title will hit the physical venues soon.
Officials Talk About the Event
Törnqvist explained that the vision for Play’n GO’s new land-based venture is unmistakably aligned with the company’s identity. He expressed confidence in the global potential, noting that there is an opportunity for tens of thousands of cabinets featuring Play’n GO content worldwide. He also praised Genting as an exceptional partner throughout the project and expressed enthusiasm about continuing to collaborate with their teams to build on the success of the initial UK-focused rollout.
Meanwhile, Stuart Armstrong, product director at Genting, emphasized the importance of standing out in a highly competitive land-based casino market. He highlighted that the launch of Genting’s exclusive BOOM Slots product delivers a unique gaming experience that sets the company apart from its competitors. He also praised Play’n GO’s industry-leading reputation and noted that the partnership showcased the company’s agility and innovation in bringing the BOOM Slots concept to life.
