Ontario Lotto Max Ticket Set to Fetch Winner $39.63M
Another lucky soul has won a life-altering amount, with Ontario’s Lotto Max game minting another lottery millionaire
Ontario is once again the place where a massive lottery win has occurred, with one player scooping up a life-altering reward of CAD 55 million ($39.63 million). The player bought their ticket in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell, in the eastern part of the province.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has congratulated the winner and urged them to step forward and claim their prize. Speaking on the occasion, OLG representative Tony Bitonti said:
“This is two life-changing wins in a row for Ontario Lotto Max players. Incredible.”
The other win Bitonti was referring to is a CAD 80 million ($57.64 million) jackpot prior to the most recent reward. Jackpots in Ontario are won frequently enough, with big headlines such as these; however, not all that regularly.
Both wins are significant, especially given the short intermittent period between them. The $57.64-million prize was scooped on December 31, 2025, a little over a week before the $39.63-million purse.
Bitonti has acknowledged that the lottery winners have been a little slow to act, however, noting that he was looking forward to meeting them.
“I am excited to meet all these new multi-millionaires when they come forward to claim these life-changing prizes,” the lottery official said. Unclaimed jackpots expire and are returned to players in the form of new promotions, games, and higher prize purses.
