New Jersey Player Scoops $12.3M from Pick 6 Jackpot Game

The lucky player who opted for the cash option, taking home half of the originally won amount - still a pretty good catch!

A lottery player from Ocean County, New Jersey, has beaten some long odds to win the $12.3-milion jackpot from the Pick 6 game last Saturday.

The ticket was sold in the nick of time before a major winter storm that descended on the Garden State, with the winner grabbing the ticket at ShopRite #619, 501 Route 9 in Waretown.

Commenting on the event, NJ Lottery executive director James Carey welcomed the development and congratulated the person: “This weekend will surely be unforgettable for one particular lottery player. Hopefully, this will be the start of many other life-changing jackpots to come this year.”

Lottery Player Hits It Big in Pick 6 Jackpot Game

Although this is one of the largest wins scored from the game in recent days, it’s hardly the most significantones. In 2025, the Pick 6 game produced at least four big-time winners.

The year began with a $32-million payout in Jackson on January 20, followed by jackpots that dropped in Clark and Roseland, $5.5 million and $5.9 million on March 20 and May 22, respectively.

Another player in Hudson County used the Jackpocket app and scooped up a $22-million prize on October 25. After each win, the Pick 6 game jackpot resets to its original value of $2 million and starts growing again.

Contributions from every ticket are taken to grow the top prize over time. As to the most recent winner, he secured his jackpot off the winning numbers 7, 9, 10, 17, 25, and 30, matching all six balls.
