Nevada Governor Adds New Member to NGCB
A graduate of UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law, Sendall will now become one of the NGCB’s three members and assume responsibility for gaming regulation in the Silver State

Governor Joe Lombardo has unveiled the addition of a new member to the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). According to the announcement, deputy city attorney Chandeni Sendall will join the regulatory body shortly after Brittnie Watkins’ exit.
Sendall Joins the Board
Watkins, who joined the NGCB in 2021, recently declined to serve another term. Since Brin Gibson resigned in 2022, she took over as chair and has served in that position since.
Sendall, who will replace Watkins, is an experienced attorney specializing in civil cases. In addition to her decade as an attorney, she has also worked as an internal auditor for American gambling powerhouse Caesars Entertainment.
A graduate of UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law, Sendall will now become one of the NGCB’s three members and assume responsibility for gaming regulation in the Silver State. In this role, she will enforce the state’s gaming regulation, investigate complaints and penalize violators.
Sendall Thanked Gov. Lombardo for the Opportunity
Sendall commented on her appointment, thanking Governor Lombardo for his trust. For context, the Nevada governor is fully responsible for appointing members to the NGCB.
Speaking about her new position, Sendall said that she is looking forward to pairing her legal and economic background with her experience in gaming to serve the board and help Nevada regulate gaming.
Lombardo praised the appointee for her expertise and said that he is sure that she will be a valuable asset to the NGCB.
With her unique background in law and compliance, Chandeni will bring fresh insight and critical perspective to the board. I look forward to her leadership and contributions to gaming oversight in our state.

Chair Hendrick to Leave
Sendall’s appointment comes just a few days following the announcement of NGCB chair Kirk Hendrick’s departure.
Hendrick, who said that he has discussed the matter with the governor, confirmed that he plans to step down from his post at the end of the current legislative session. Hendrick, however, did not provide an exact date for his final day with the NGCB.
Hendrick had been named chairman in 2023, succeeding Brittnie Watkins. Despite his short term, Hendrick was happy with the progress the board has made and said that he is committed to “accomplishing much more over the next several months.”
Prior to that, he served as CEO of Hendrick Sports and Entertainment, and COO of the UFC. He has also held roles at the Gaming Division of the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, including deputy attorney general, senior deputy attorney general, and chief deputy attorney general of the division.
